---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Patch Update - 17th - 31st August 2025 Further debug messages have been removed when killing mobs. Our apologies, as one script had only been adjusted, when there is two. The Abyss (accessible after 'The Acheron Rock' quest), now has portals to the Nature, Death, Blood and Law altars. Quest requirements still apply. It is now possible to complete the 'Risky Business' quest. Level up fireworks are more noticable. Sardine now appear in the cooking skill guide, under level 1. Lodestones have had a slight tweak. Varrock now requires completion of 'Herald of Misthalin', Falador now requires completion of 'Herald of Asgarnia', North Kandarin now requires completion of 'Legends' Quest', South Kandarin has been removed, Uzer now requires completion of 'Shadow of the Storm', Brimhaven now requires Heroes' Quest', Canifis has been removed. In my hubris, when I created lodestones, it was done in annoyance of having to travel all the way to places like Kandarin. However, having played with the lodestones, they feel they strip away exploration. With them now being behind quest locks, you would have explored the areas to begin with to complete the quests, and the lodestones being a small benefit without ruining exploration, or ruining other quest/skill rewards (such as Elena's Lament unlocking the Ardounge teleport, or the Watchtower quest unlocking the watchtower teleport). Spinning wheels have had their models replaced (previously a loom). More spinning wheel and pottery wheel stations have been added around the world (matching OSRS), with map markers showing where they are. Wilderness Volcano has been renamed to Wilderness Crater, had slight graphical improvements, and made slightly brighter. Daggers now state they do stab damage and not range damage. --Frigid Spells-- New mini-quest has been added, which follows on from the events of The Acheron Rock, as you are tasked to find the missing fourth wizard. Travel back to Acheron, but venture further into the lands to find where said wizard has gone. Requires 'Behind Enemy Lines' quest to start. Fixed typos during 'The Cult of Scorpia' Transition from Road to Falador to Edgeville have been fixed. Entrance to Draynor Manor has been fixed. Dialog has changed in 'Behind Enemy Lines' to accommodate the Fremennik Storyline more accurately. Fixed a transition from the Halls of Camdozaal 'Chasm' area to the Deep mines, that would bypass a section of 'The Dormant Curse' quest. Adjusted the transition from Road to Falador to Edgeville. Fixed the transition in Taverly dungeon, that stopped you traveling back to the entrance from the magic axe section (the castle interior) of the dungeon. Adjusted the door for VTAM Headquarters in Varrock to be more accessible and easier to interact. Amended some walkmesh issues when navigating Shanty Chasm, where the player would be running into invisible meshes. Moved an area transition to be easier to access during 'The Cult of Scorpia' quest. Fixed a bug during 'The Cult of Scorpia', where you wouldn't be able to interact with anything due to the player being moved to another area within a conversation. Tweaked 'The Cult of Scorpia' quest to use less area transitions, and be more flowing (this was a very old quest before we started to do things 'better'). Blue dragonhide vambraces now require 55 crafting, instead of 73. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Patch Update - 14th August 2025 Imps will now correctly cast water strike. Debug text will no longer appear when killing monsters. During 'The Acheron Rock' quest, it is more easier to identify where the player needs to climb during the abyss ring section. Some typos during 'The Acheron Rock' quest has been fixed. Seldridor will offer to teleport the player to Varrock during 'The Acheron Rock' quest, to reduce back and forth travelling. Jolly Boar Inn exit should now work. Troll child now has textures. You can now travel to Wizards tower from Draynor Village, instead of having to go through Lumbridge first. Duke Horacio now grants the player the ability to wear tower shields (anti-dragon shields), during 'Dragon Slayer' quest. Flamma, during 'Dragon Slayer' quest, now deals high fire damage, that can be nulled with the anti-dragon shield. The berserker during 'The Acheron Rock' has been buffed. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Patch Update - 3rd August 2025 These patches have been in game for some weeks, just forgot to make a post! A gold bug abuse has been fixed with selling items to Fortunato. Toolbelts are now available at general stores, they've also had their icons replaced. The Bandos boots and armour have received a visual upgrade, including mesh and texture optimizations. Godwars entrance music has been re-done, to hopefully avoid the everlasting freeze when downloading server files for the first time. Burnt trees added to wilderness border to obtain charcoal. Doogle leaves in Feldip hills are now correctly called Doogle leaves and not 'big leaf' ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Patch Update - 8th June 2025 Shrimp fishing spots should now correctly prevent players from obtaining anchovies if they lack the Fishing Level to do so. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Patch Update - 25th April 2025 Very tiny, in fact, it's just one thing, but quite an important & long-asked for fix... Splitting stacked items now work once again. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Patch Update - 16th April 2025 It should now be more easier and possible to enter Draynor Manor. You now have the option to cook 'cooked meat' variants and 'cooked chicken' to get burnt results. Primarily useful for Witch's potion. Witch's potions dialog has been amended to specifically ask for burnt meat. Rats loot tables have been fixed to drop the rats tail needed for Witch's potion. The witch in Witch's potion will now specifically ask for a rats tail from tiny rats, not giant rats (this currently isn't in-game but will be patched later today, just saves making another 'patch post'). ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Patch Update - 23rd Match 2025 Testing fixes, feedback welcome. Teleporting to Trollheim was previously not granting Runecraft XP, we have rolled out a possible fix to this issue. Net traps were causing collision with the player's camera, we're testing a potential fix which forces traps to be offset from the player by a small distance. Bug fixes The Hunter skill guide imp icons should now display the correct imp icons. Fishing nodes should now correctly give alternate fish at a constant rate. This was a bug created when Miscellania was released. Gameplay Tooltips across the entire game have received a visual replacement to be more clear and easy to read. More tools have been added to the "tool quality" message exclusion list, this includes lobster cages and thief tools. When using the Runecraft skill, all feedback messages should now be more clear. Many items have had their descriptions updated and clarified to reflect the combat rework. We are currently looking into and monitoring the following bug reports: Certain ring stats are not applying correctly after death. Finalizing various equipment effects. Updating various item descriptions to correctly reflect their updated stats. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Patch Update - 21st March 2025 Skilling potions via herblore are now makeable after a bug was fixed with their tags. Any pre-existing skilling potions within players inventories have been updated. Bass in fishing shops are no longer labelled 'Lobster'. Fishing spots with mixed combinations (tuna/swordfish for example), now correctly work, and won't require you to need the higher fishing level at the spot. Debug text on any monster kill will no longer display. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Patch Update - 19th March 2025 Players entering Godwars Dungeon will no longer cause severe server-wide lag. This was an issue with the KC tracker, but we have now optimised this on a newer system and hence therefore should no longer cause lag. We will keep monitoring this though, as it's not something we can test in single player. Fishing has been fixed so that it no longer provides experienced based on the requirement to catch, but the actual xp stated (for example, lobsters were giving 40 xp, as they require level 40 to catch, instead of 270 xp). ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Patch Update - 18th March 2025 Flamma in 'Dragon Slayer' has had her HP increased significantly. Pirate skeletons no longer chase indefinitely and will back off. Bredon tower during 'Dragon Slayer' now correctly has spawns. You can now navigate back down through Bredon during 'Dragon Slayer', after killing Flamma for the last time. Oziach will appear instantly in his house and also not in a 'Nearing death' state. NPC's during 'Dragon Slayer' celebration cutscene will no longer be attackable. Some NPC's within Varrock are no longer attackable. Gathering nodes such as veins/fishing spots/oak+ stumps no longer produce 2 resources and 2x xp. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Patch Update - 18th March 2025 GWD kill counts will no longer unnecessarily display the creature's name when killed. Godwars Dungeon missing textures has been fixed. Note: I have added a new hak to the server, sized 1.7gb, so may take some time to download, or not... Over the course of time, we are looking to compress our haks down more, as we currently have 88. 'Enchanted lyre (u)' (the permenant lyre), will no longer keep producing other lyres when used. Creating skill potions via herblore will now work correctly. Grey, Red and Black chinchompa's have had their damage adjusted to match the combat re-work. Chinchompa weapon variants have had their activating names corrected. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Patch Update - 17th March 2025 Item stats will no longer persist across various weapons when logging in/out with equipped items. Tyrannical ring in the collection log now names the correct ring. Dragon axe now correctly completes as a collection log from Dagannoth Kings. Various quest reward items (mostly weapons) have had their stats updates. Hunter tools: Net trap, box traps and bird snares are now stackable. More items that provide damage bonuses have had their examine updated to show how much damage they provide. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Game Update 13th March 2025 -- Combat -- Combat has been completely re-worked (in the confinements of NWN2). Before, we were pretty much relying on the NWN2 default system, and our combat formulas (damages and defences) have been the same for over 8 years. How it used to be was, as you leveled higher, you would make more attacks within the game systems tick (6 seconds). So you would do 1 attack every 6s, then 2, 3 and then up to 6 attacks in 6 seconds. This meant, end-game bossing or slayer, you would run up to a monster, and when you began to fight, just rows of numbers would appear above your head and the monsters head, such as "100, 37, 129, 472, 102". It was hard to calculate what exact damage you were doing, or how much damage you were taking and by what damage type. Therefore, we have made the following changes: - Your attack speed will always be 2-3 attacks per 6 seconds. 2 attacks per 6s will be default, but hardcoded is 'haste', which is granted by wearing boots, which 99.99% of players will be wearing anyway, therefore technically making the default attack speed 3 attacks per 6s. This allows combat to flow much better. Animations are less buggy, you can see when you're getting hit or when you are attacking etc - Combat formula has been reworked. Every monsters accuracy, HP, defence and weaknesses has been tweaked, as well as the player and items. Combat feels more like Oldschool RS. Before, we had reached the hardcoded damage cap at rune, so this meant any items level 11-30 (dragon/barrows/granite/god wars etc) had stupidly high numbers. Such as godswords doing slash, pierce, crush, magical, cold and fire damage, just to hit high. Gear progression is significantly more important now, as well as a wide range of defences. - AC has been heavily reduced on armours. We have for too long struggled with a breaking point of where, players would become too tanky and essentially start to afk bosses. The removal of AC has opened up damage reductions and immunities. You will no longer be able to fully reduce damage to 0 from bosses and mobs your level or higher, only lower it depending on your gear. This opens the floor for the need of tanks and DPSers - Range has been tweaked. This sits alongside mob weaknesses, as previously, range and stab weapons were technically doing the same damage type. Meaning bosses weak to range, were also being weak to melee (via stab). Range is now it's own damage type and therefore, mobs weak to range, will only be weak to range. - Crossbows now provide defensive stats, to act as a 'crossbow/shield' limitation we have at the moment and plan to work around. This means, while bows will be faster but lower damage, crossbows will pack a mighty punch and help rangers in solo content - Armours have been improved on the damage bonuses. - The Dagannoth rings have been re-worked to no longer provide perks, but instead, increase damage dealt or accuracy (in cases such as the warriors ring). -- Boss drops and Collection Logs -- Alongside the combat rework, we have added in a new drop rate formula for unique drops from bosses. Our old system, which we still use for standard loot, wasn't the greatest with uniques. They dropped too common and were out of our control. Now, boss drops are calculated on a new formula that is very close to Runescapes, but more 'relaxed'. They are scaled to the boss difficulty, meaning easier bosses will take a bit longer, and harder bosses will drop more often. Note, this currently excludes barrows, which are on a separate system itself. - When killing a boss, if you roll on the unique drop table, the item's appearance will appear on the floor, with a beam. Purple for lower/the more common uniques, and gold for the most rarest uniques. Don't worry, you don't have to pick up the item, it will be automatically sent to your inventory. Note: Due to restraints, those doing the last hit on the boss will receive the unique, not the person with the most damage. To sit alongside this, we have now introduced a new system, Collection logs! While we hope to expand this more in the future, we have only set it up to be working for boss drops achieved from the above system. Receiving a new unique will give you a message stating you have unlocked a new collection log, and this will update in the collection log itself, which can be found on the inventory tab. As mentioned, we hope to expand this further onto other things, such as clues, quests, diaries and exploration (i.e. slayer etc). Lastly, we have added a new feature that allows you to track how many bosses you have killed. @everyone -- Quests -- Three new quests have been added to the game: Throne of Miscellania Rumours have been coming back from Miscellania that all is not well, it is said that the king has been turned into a monster! Help out the two rival kingdoms and in return, become a thane of the land. As a reward, we have introduced another new system, Managing Miscellania! After completing the quest, earn favour and deposit gold. Go off on your adventures and over time, you will build up treasury shares, which you can spend on resources such as herbs, logs, raw fish, coal and more. Shadow of the Storm Continuation from 'The Golem' quest, a sinister group of dark wizards are attempting to summon Agrith-Naar, a demon of exceptional mystical power. One Small Favour If you're new to Shilo Village after solving the mystery (or even if you did it some time ago), you may like to check out Yanni Salika's antiques shop. In other news... Trollweiss flowers are now modelled. You can now equip the Rare Flowers from Trollweiss. Aviansie models are now more appropriate and representing the race. Most boots have had their AC lowered and strength attribution bonuses removed. All armour of types (plates, boots, gloves etc) have all been reworked. Armour that gives off damage bonuses (such as Bandos chestplate), are much less tankier than armour that have none, and are designed to be 'tank' armour (such as barrows plates) , as they provide no damage bonus. This adds diversity to loadouts so that you will most likely have a tank set up, as well as a DPS set up. This eliminates the linear gear progression of accessing a BCP will make every other armour useless. Granite boots now provide 'Knockback immunity'. Whip no longer has a long-range melee attack. Halberds now attack from a further distance. The Godswords and Saradomin sword(s) have received a visual remake. Some of the Godwars equipment models have been optimised, so you will no longer lag when equipping. This is still being worked on and will be updated over the next few weeks too. Gear now grants accuracy and damage bonuses similar to their OSRS counterparts. Added support for upcoming percent based damage bonuses (Slayer helmets, Salve Amulet, Anti-Dragon Weaponry). The God Wars Dungeon has received a complete overhaul, featuring lore-rich environments and a new system to track Killcounts. The wilderness border near Edgeville has been given a makeover. Weapon and armor particle effects have been removed apart from very distinct items. Silverlight and its upgrades have finally been given a non-nwn2 model. Gemstone rocks have new models. Charter ships now have a new GUI. 7+ Easter eggs have been added to the game. Text on skill pages/guides have been improved. A lot of typo's have been fixed. All attackable monsters now have yellow names. A lot of text on examines such as items/weapons/armour have been colour-coded to help reflect what damage they do or protect again, such as Red = Melee, Blue = Magical, Green = Range. A various amount of new textures have been added to the game in certain locations. The prayer system has been 'fixed', so that prayer potions, super restores and super prayer potions now correctly restore prayer permanently (rather than breaking). IMPORTANT We have introduced a new backend tool that allows us to update items on player saves, which historically we had to do manually. With the combat rework and new boss drop rates, we have discussed and agreed to remove all GWD related items from players, due to how broken GWD was on release (i.e. very easy). We apologise for any inconveniences caused, but hope you get to re-visit and try out the new combat and new GWD appearance! Due to the timeframe of the update, I would like to stress that we have fixed countless amount of bugs that we haven't been recording over the past 5 months, apologies! -- Future content -- To give a rough 'road map' of what we are working on next: Re-working the prayer system, to be more like Runescape (that drains), and ensuring prayers are doing what they are supposed to be doing. Re-working the clue system and incorporating it into the new collection log. Updating Tutorial Island. Boss pets. Effigies. Brimstone keys & a new slayer master. Slayer & salve bonuses for accuracy and mob-types (i.e. undead). Armour set effects. New thieving content. Magic and Range armour and weapon models. More informative quest interfaces. Mining guild rework. Cooking guild rework. Skillcape perks. Woodcutting tree model reworks. Finishing up with replacing the nwn2 vanilla menus and UI. Firecape model replacement. Nex, the 5th godwars general. Our 99th and 100th quest! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Game update 23rd October 2024 -- :Fishing_icon: Skilling :Woodcutting_icon: -- With our recent mining update, where nodes now have a minimum & maximum amount of quantity on them, as well as xp buffs, we have now mimic'd this over to fishing and woodcutting. Both fishing and woodcutting nodes now have a minimum and maximum amount of resources on them, meaning you will no longer click a fishing spot and it disappears after 1-5 catches. We've made them quite afkable (10-20mins of afk), as well as increasing the XP. Woodcutting however, due to the amount of woodcutting nodes there are in the project, we haven't been able to update all of them, however, if you chop an old node, the new system will respawn afterwards. The main reason for this is, we plan to update woodcutting even further later on in the year so that you are no longer chopping stumps, but actual trees, so we didn't want to spend a considerable amount of time replacing all the nodes, just to replace again. In other news... Buffed the xp rates of all secondary skills such as Smithing, Fletching, and Crafting, to match their primary skill comparator. Prayer potions and Super Restore potions now restore prayer points scaled to your prayer level. Restore and Super Restore potions now cleanse negative effects. You can now remove plants with a spade. Added opal, jade, and red topaz to the gem cutting menu. Added the Fishing guild teleport option to the skills necklace. Fixed various bugs that prevented players from progressing through the Eadgar's Ruse, Legends' quest and Murder Mystery quest. Updated the dialogues for the God Wars Dungeon throne rooms. Removed a warning in the fight caves about losing items on death. Fixed an incorrect amount of xp being handed out in the Jungle Tranquility quest Fixed an icon in the tzhaar rune shop. Fixed various typos in various dialogues, skilling interfaces, map objects and quest reward screens. Fixed a few missing icons for items. Adjusted Champions, Legends cape, and Fire cape stats. Champions cape AC 5->3 HP 100->150, Legends Cape AC 2->4 HP 150->200; 30 Damage bonus to all styles, Firecape 30 damage bonus to range and mage styles. Over 100 typo's have been fixed in areas, quests, quest journals, items, descriptions. Guildmaster for champions guild should no longer be attackable. Champions guild top floor has been merged with the bottom floor, to save time from a loading screen to just going upstairs. The transition from going upstairs will now be instant. The final fight during 'Icthlarin's Little Helper' has been optimised so that you aren't teleported to multiple areas after each dialogue. The start of the dialogue, the fight and the final dialogue all now exist in the same area. Tool quality messages were removed from fishing rods. Players must now equip their fishing rods and harpoon before using them. Defender models have received a visual update and are no longer using the NWN2 placeholder models. The dragon dagger has been made to be more sharp and less blocky. Buffed mantaray catch xp to accommodate the cooking xp boost. Buffed cavefish mantaray and rocktail cooking xp. Nerfed hp regen prayers Fixed incorrect/broken tooltips for rapid restore and rapid renewal prayers Added teak and mahog logs to beacon, buffed regular firemaking xp rates ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Game update 6th October 2024 Skilling updates Fishing, Mining and Woodcutting have had some of their core mechanics updated. Fishing Fishing has been reworked to be more like Runescape. You can now catch two fish from the same nodes that allow it, for example shrimp and anchovy from the same spot, and tuna/swordfish. Fishing spots also have had their icons adjusted. Fishing xp rates have also been boosted. Mining Concentrated rocks are now properly implemented and aren't permanent. To compensate, the experience of regular rocks and veins have had their exp adjusted accordingly and their respawn times lowered. To summarise minings update, there are three categories of rocks: 1) Rocks = Surface rocks that deplete after being mined once, but provide the best xp. 2) Veins = found within caves or underground, are a halfway point between the two, offering modest xp and have a bit more afkness to them. 3) Concentrated veins = harder to reach veins, similar to (2) can be found in caves or underground. They offer less experience but are significantly more afkable. Also, all veins now work on a new system that allows you to at least mine a certain amount of ores being depleted. This eliminates that annoyance of wanting to afk, but a concentrated vein depletes after one ore. Woodcutting Trees have had their names and xp rates adjusted slightly, as well as their 'afkness'. While the lesser of the bunch, we plan to improve woodcutting in the near future, so that you will be chopping actual trees and not stumps! So consider this the starter of the full woodcutting refresh. Halloween Event 2024 Molior's first Halloween event has landed! Until the 31st October 2024, head to Draynor to inspect a new stall that has cropped up on the crossroads. Complete the event and return for some rewards! Once the month has ended, this won't be obtainable again until next year. cont... In other news... Bark from hollow trees, and carapace from cockroaches are now stackable. Changed a few teleports to be NWN1 style dialogue. Fixed a bug where players could not travel to Sophanem on the magic carpet after completing Icthlarin's little helper Added teak and mahogany logs to firemaking. Remove shearing sheep fail chance and delay. Once players hit 62 mining, they will now be able to 'prospect' rocks/veins to determine how much ore is stored on them to mine. Colours have been added to the text of Fishing, Woodcutting and Mining nodes when hovering over them and all nodes have been given appropriate and flavourful examine texts. Many caves have been removed from the game, in favour of surface rocks being added. Fishing nets should no longer display a misleading tool quality level. Lumbridge has new day/night settings to fit autumn. Fishing guild water has been made more blue. Gemstone rocks have had the same treatment as fishing and are now broken into three areas: 1) Kharid gemstone rocks will provide sapphire to diamond at a random rarity basis, with a very small chance of dragonstones. 2) Shilo gemstone rocks will provide opal to red topaz. 3) Dragontooth isle gemstone will act as the same as the Kharid gemstone rock, but provide a higher chance of dragonstones. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Patch 30th September 2024 Vodka is now usable for 'Eadgers' Ruse' quest. The sack to find Sir Percival in during the 'Holy Grail' quest has been re-added to the goblin camp, north of Falador. This was initially in the camp when it was west of Lumbridge, but I must have forgotten to move over the sack as well. Heckel Funch, at the Grand Treetops in the Gnome Stronghold will now sell vodka, pineapple and pineapple chunks. This is done through the basic store until GUI is arranged. Fire warrior of Lesarkus during the 'Temple of Ikov' quest is now killable, allowing you to progress the quest. Super attack potion how has an effect. While temporary, it will 'flame' your weapon. Attack bonuses are tricky to work with making stackable, so this is a 'unusual' temp change until something perm. Yanille now has a bank (temporary while a more better custom modelled/visual bank is added). Crafting guild crate making table now works. All unf potions, when activated, will now give the herb mixing menu (Note, you won't need new unf potions. Pre-existing will work). Developer notes: While some developers are on a break, certain features/fixes aren't do-able right now, for instance, Troll Romance lacks the quest completion pop-up. And on that note, something on our long list of to-dos is updating the quest rewards. Since new/most current skills xp rates have been increased, quests have been left in the shadow. For instance, if woodcutting xp rates are 200k+ hour, a long quest that gives 4k xp isn't so worth it anymore. As a result, over time, quest rewards will be updated to give significantly more xp, especially as they're one-off. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Patch update - 25th August 2024 Chaos dwarf helmets are now fixed. The Dormant Curse - After sketching the mysterious obelisk, you will be teleported back to the bridge. This is a quality of life we're starting to introduce more to eliminate a lot of "back and forth" in quests. The Dormant Curse - The quest starter NPC's will be visible when you enter the area, rather than being on spawners. Halls of Camdozaal - A new transition has been added to the Chasm area to let the players either go back into the deep mines and back, or go straight back to the Halls of Camdozaal. Red & Cadava berry bushes in the wild have been updated to models. Hostile imps will no longer chase if you run away. Varrock militia now use the correct models. Ranger boot models have been updated. Lumbridge has had some visual improvements and environmental changes. Falador farmhouse interior has been added to the game, as well as the exterior of the farm receiving some detailing. While uncertain on the reasons, during very early development, certain interiors like these have gone unnoticed. But now that we have farming and crafting via looming etc, it only makes sense these interiors and many others missed, are added. The farmhouse interior has a farmshop, a loom and water source. Sadly no sheepdog as of yet. Two highwaymen have been added to the falador crossroads, with the highwayman close to Rimmington being removed. Multiple sounds in South Falador have been amended to not consistently loop. They will now play, then pause for a while until being played again. This was an issue in early development and a learning curve, where certain sounds in areas were being placed on a continuous loop. Rimmington's farm patch has been updated with correct models. Cows have been added south Crafting guild. Lumbridge has new day & night music. Mudskipper point now has it's own music, rather than copying Port Sarims. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Patch update - 23rd August 2024 Ferrets and White rabbits have been added to piscatoris hunting grounds (and south of the fishing colony). The number of traps you can have deployed now scales with your level. Nearlly all monsters now drop new herbs/seeds. This is quite a daunting task but over time I will be revisiting certain monsters and updating their table to be more providing with specific herbs/seeds. But for now, jungle strykewyrms drop all herbs/seeds, bosses will drop herbs/seeds in higher quantities and all monsters will drop all herbs (based on rarity). Hunting map points have been added to Rellekka Hunting zones ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Game update 2.0 - 21st August 2024 ----Skilling---- New skill: Hunter Hunter has been released into the game with a wide array of new species to hunt. These consist of: Birds, Butterflies, Chinchompas, Salamanders, Rabbits (currently not in-game but will be next patch), Ferrets (currently not in-game but will be next patch), Implings. You may notice we don't have everything right now, such as Kyatts or Kebbits, and this is because we want to take it slow and introduce Hunter slowly to the game, without making it heavily bloated on release. Birds, butterflies, rabbits, ferrets and salamanders are a good way to level up, with chinchompas introducing a new range weapon and implings providing a wide variety of loot. At present, salamanders (the item), don't have any use, but this is something we are looking into for the eventual "Hunter 2.0". Implings and Puro Puro Must like Runescape, implings will spawn on the mainland in various locations, typically in groups of 3. Implings will spawn based on a rarity, with higher level implings having a lesser chance of spawning. If not caught after a certain amount of time, they will disappear and respawn eventually again, so if you see a dragon impling, be sure to catch it before it disappears! Alternatively, if you cannot find any implings on the mainland, you can head to most wheatfields or Zanaris itself, to enter Puro Puro, where a large variety of implings will be spawning. Farming & Herblore With the addition of Hunter, it opened up our eyes to two of our most forgotten skills, farming and herblore. For too long, they were essentially useless and barely had an impact on the gameplay for them to be trained. Gaining seeds was mundane and limited, same with herbs and ingredients. On top of this, you could only really train the skills up to 40 with herblore and farming had no use past ranarr seeds. Herblore has now gone from 5-7 potions to 38 potions in total. As a result, these two skills now go hand in hand with content and go way up to the level 90s. Farming now has herbs from toadflax to torstol, new bushes and new flower seeds, all to favour the secondary ingredient requirements for herblore. ----Models---- I believe we've shouted it from the rooftops enough times that most of our areas or items are placeholders, but it's time to stop that and start making models. With this update, many items and areas have had new models, such as the Lumbridge castle, Varrock church, Mining guild, Artisans guild, Crafting guild and the barrows crypt. We have also strayed further from using way too many default Neverwinter Nights 2 models and have created our own, such as chef hats, wizard hats, city specific clothing and more 'clutter' items. ----Lodestones---- While I admit I wasn't a fan of RS3's lodestone system, we have introduced lodestones with a slight oldschool twist. Lodestones help heavily with quality of life on transporting to specific regions, especially in times such as dying or you've forgotten runes. Lodestones can only be used by interacting with them in person, and are positioned in a way that do not make the normal teleport spells useless. You can find lodestones at these locations: Lumbridge Varrock Falador North Kandarin South Kandarin Uzer Brimhaven Canifis (after completion of Priest in Peril). ----Areas---- Feldip hills - Feldip hills has been extended to cover the southern part where the Hunter expert can be found, and most starter hunting creatures (such as Crimson swifts). Lumbridge swamp caves - Lumbridge swamp caves has finally been added. Along with this, we have some new monsters: Cave bugs (level-6) - While low level, they will be great for new players/low levels getting into herblore due to their herb drops and secondary ingredient drops. Cave slime (level-5) - Pretty generic mob that drops 100% swamp tar and also drops iron boots, an introductory boot-type to fighters with damage bonus! (No more leather boots camping for you) Due to the size of the swamp caves, the above monsters have been stripped of their slayer requirements and can be killed freely. In other news... Baby black dragons now count towards black dragon tasks. Death rune duplication should now definitely be fixed. Wizards guild is no longer the 2da guild. Can now leave jolly boar inn. This is a bug where the transition is above the walkmesh, meaning you cannot walk or click on it... If it continues, we'll replace the transition. Parts of the wilderness have been made brighter. Supercompost will now correctly half the time it takes plants to grow. 'Shilo Village' quest now also checks for toolbelts instead of just a chisel. Crossbow stocks can now be alched. Unicorns have been added to the game. When leveling up a skill, fireworks will now appear! Woohoo! Players can now once again enter the Varrock 'shanty' area after completing the 'Biohazard' quest. A new activity has been added to the Artisans Guild, allowing you to exchange pickaxes for Smithing XP & Artisans Respect. Wood axes and pickaxes will now tell you their speed quality when you attempt to use them on a resource. Certain areas (primarily towns/cities) night time has been made significantly brighter, to the point you can actually see where you're going and objects around you. Volcanic ash nodes has been added to Musa point volcano, that can be mined for volcanic ash, a secondary ingredient for herblore. Venennatis now drops spider venom, a secondary ingredient for herblore. Blue dragons now drop blue scales, that can be grounded via mortar and pestle for blue dragon scale dust, a secondary ingredient for herblore. Wyvern bones can be grounded via mortar and pestle, for wyvern bonemeal, a secondary ingredient for herblore. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Live Testing Patch update 10th July 2024 Before our break, we were working on a developer server, so that we can work on content without effecting the live game. We're still working on this, but due to the amount of recent work being done, we've decided to update the main server with some testing content. Below will define what is in the update & what is for testing purposes and ideally, not to be interacted with. A Night at the Border A very long awaited follow-up quest to 'The Chosen Path', you are summoned to fulfil your militia recruitment commitment and spend a night at Edgeville's border, defending the little town against the undead. However, you will soon come to realize that you are not just slaying zombies & skeletons, and unravel something horrifying. We've gone into great efforts with the audio and cutscenes in this quest, so highly recommend playing with audio on! Alfred Grimhand's Barcrawl Who doesn't love a good drink? While considered a mini-quest, we've added this in as an actual quest, but won't reward quest points as a reward (but will provide other rewards). Travel around pubs and inn's, taking a sip of the locals signature drink. TEST QUESTS - In-game but incompletable/untested: Eagles' Peak In preparation for the Hunter skill release, it only felt fitting to include a hunter quest! Horror from the Deep We work on quests by release order, and HftD was next, bringing a lesser tier of dagannoths to kill, but introducing 6 new god books! ---- Models We have been working hard on adding a ton of new models to the game, as well as experimenting (such as Varrock bank being both an interior and exterior). Some significant differences are Draynor manor & it's interior, but also certain item models and general touch-ups in other areas, making them feel more unique and less "samey". ---- Sadly we've done a terrible administrative job on logging our patches, but this update also brought in a ton of fixes. Those who had tickets opened and are now closed, will have been patched in this update. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Patch update 12th April 2024 Swensens puzzle during 'The Fremennik Trials' has been amended in accordance to the puzzle. We've added a new way to transition between points in small areas (Such as Peers House in 'The Fremennik Trials'), where clicking on a ladder etc will take you directly to the destination. We will be experimenting with this and including it in more areas over time. This will eliminate the annoyance of conversations with objects or small transitions that are hard to walk over/click. Seaweed now stacks, as previously was bugged and not stacking. You can now teleport with the enchanted lyre. You can now offer 1000 raw swordfish, sharks and manta rays to Fossegrimen for a permanent enchanted lyre. Runecrafting magic runes has been replaced with a new system and interface. When you level up a skill there will be a fireworks effect. This update also included some back-end content that we're working on for preparation for other updates, hence the download size. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Patch update 10th April 2024 Armadyl boots now provide +8 AC, in comparison with there counters such as Bandos boots. Few older slayer tasks that had old xp rates have been improved. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Patch update 8th April 2024 Can now alch granite armour & steel full helm. Toktz-xil-ul (the throwing weapons) alch prices have been amended. Due to an unstable bug with general stores, we have removed the option to sell items to general stores due to the price bugs and encourage more use of alchemy. Selling stock to the tzhaar shop has been "nerfed", as we will eventually venture into new ways of obtaining tokkul. This was also to combat the excessive wealth gain exploit. KBD head, Kq head, Abyssal head and Tzhaar helmet, have been added to the game and dropped by there respective bosses or slayer monsters. Tzhaar helmet can be received by sacrificing a fire cape with TzHaar-Mej-Jal, at the entrance of the fight caves. Tzhaar has been made brighter and more visible. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Coldfix 7th April 2024 All slayer masters will allow you to cancel a task for 35 slayer points, without effecting your streak. Strykewyrm areas have been detailed, with additional lore throughout the world, which you can find in surrounding areas or libraries. More strykewyrms spawn in the respective areas. The Firecape will now greatly protect you from cold environments such as the ice cavern among other areas. The obsidian cape will now slightly protect you from colder areas mentioned previously. It is a little less than half as effective as the Firecape. Many more context messages have been given to the various environmental effects. Prayer potions will now state your current prayer points # after consumption. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Game update - 4th April 2024 Player essence now gives +1 hp regen, to mimic the generic health regen in Runescape.
